The management of AJS were invited and immediately took the decision to show support for the excellent work done by ProBono.Org.

We have always known of the great work that they do but had absolutely no idea as to the extent of it or the importance of some of the cases under their care.

AJS continues on an extended growth path and welcomes a dynamic young man to the development team based in the AJS Cape Town Office.
Sipho Maribo is 22 years old and joined AJS on 1 September – spring day 2015. A graduate from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, he brings an energetic mix of youthful enthusiasm and methodical professionalism. He is an attentive listener who pays attention to detail – both of which are really valuable attributes for successful software development. He is an avid reader and believes that you can either have a “job” or a “career”. He chose AJS because he knows that it is not just another job but a rewarding career opportunity.
He will report to the AJS director in charge of software development – Barry Swart. Everyone at AJS welcomes Sipho as part of the team and look forward to big things.

It was held at the Sunnyside Park Hotel on the 9th of September 2015. This is in line with AJS's commitment to work closely and proactively with all Societies and Associations that involve the Legal Fraternity in South Africa.
The JAA is South Africa's largest voluntary attorney's association and goes back to its formation in 1943. It represents the interests of attorneys practising in the greater Johannesburg area which includes Soweto and ensures that the voice of this constituency is heard by the organised profession (including the Law Societies) and by Government (including Parliament).

The legal profession worldwide is facing a 'more-for-less' dilemma. Clients of law firms are demanding a higher quality and output of work for lower fees. Competition between law firms is fierce and on the increase. Commoditisation is eroding profits like never before. As 'margin-squeeze' impacts profitability, law firms need to work more efficiently. Law firms who have actively analysed this dilemma have come to realise that there is no sustainable way left for them to become more efficient other than by embracing technology. In addition to making paralegal and secretarial staff more efficient, fee-earners also need to leverage their time in order to remain financially viable.

AJS was once again honoured to be part of the LSNP charity golf day held at the Pretoria Country Club on Wednesday the 22nd of July. As usual the day was superbly organised and much thanks must go to Hester Bezuidenhout and her team for putting it all together. AJS has been a sponsor for this event for a number of years and will continue the tradition into the future. “It was great fun, great weather and a great cause” says Digby Vickers – who played in the competition. AJS will also be the main sponsor at the LSNP annual AGM and golf day at Sun City from the 30th to the 31st of October this year. AJS continues to expand and is really pleased to announce their new full time HELP DESK manager, Alicia Bowler. Alicia is responsible for making sure that all help desk issues are efficiently assigned to the AJS support team and are resolved within stipulated time periods. “Her role within the AJS Company is extremely important and requires full use of her organisational abilities,” says AJS support manager Mike Greeff. “She is the communication pivot between the client support requests and the AJS support consultants which is a vital component to the delivery of support excellence.
