But it is what we do.

And it’s in this pursuit of the ideals which we have set for ourselves and the high standards we operate at, that we continuously seek to bolster and improve on what we already offer – which is done with the sole purpose of ensuring that our clients’ needs are not only met, but their expectations surpassed. 

With the above in mind, we have upgraded some of the features in our current product offerings. Always striving to do more and be better.

Are compliance obligations giving you a headache?

While we cannot make these obligations go away entirely, we do offer some sound solutions that can make the somewhat heinous requirements much easier to deal with.

All in partnership with some other pretty amazing companies.

In addition to the existing FICA functionality within AJS, the compliance offering is strengthened by the forthcoming integrations with DocFox and Lexis Nexis KYC Provider. 

All designed with the sole aim of taking compliance obligations and making them as easy as 1,2, 3.

Make the data in your database work for you… 

There is value in your data – are you using it to its full potential? If you can dream it up, you can make a query out of it. And this is unique to AJS.

Do you need to see which clients are dormant (without seeing all your other clients). Perhaps you would like to view clients with a balance over 90 days only? Better still, do you only want to see your high-value clients? And do all of this without consulting an IT specialist?

AJS’ workspace enhancement allows you to do just that.

With more enhancements in the latest version, AJS takes away the daily grind of ad hoc queries and bulk-processing by supplying you with even better tools – designed to make your day-to-day life easier by optimally enhancing your “workspace”.  

Imagine being able to automate tedious, repetitive, and time-consuming tasks at the push of a button?

What a win! Even more useful is the fact that if you lose your flow, your place, or your mojo, all you need to do is push the pause button. 

Thanks to AJS not only are you able to automate tasks but you can pause them as well. Everything you knew you always needed. 

Generating fees can be an exciting prospect and viewing them even more so. But does it sometimes feel like a bit of (or a lot of) a chore? 

We totally get that seeing how your business is growing can be a tantalising pastime. But sometimes, trying to quantify amounts can become a task all in itself, especially when the invoices are all over the place or the fees recorded aren’t done properly. Well, in order to make viewing (and recording) your fees a satisfying undertaking, we have made a few enhancements to how you record and view your fees.

Fees and how you View Fees

·       To ensure both accuracy and to create a shorter list (do we hear a “whew”?), you can now hide the button that shows “all billing codes”, allowing users to only select from the codes on their own list.

·       To easily track your billing progress, you can set targets on the fee-book, taking measurable progress, and putting it into the easy-to-understand “View Fees” graph. It makes it so easy, right?

·       Need to do an account enquiry or edit an account from the fee popup – sure! With no need to navigate away or open a new tab to view something (or make a change). 

·       There’s now a public holiday/weekend day indicator when selecting a date. 

·       As well as an option to set a default for the View Fees period date picker, and to drill down per day or go back one level on View Fees Graph. Easy to navigate. Easy to understand. 

Do we hear a collective ‘Amen” in the audience? Sure, we do! Because recording fees should not be a task that is avoided but one that is embraced. After all, if you are recording fees, you are generating income and if you are generating income, you are growing. Being able to see that – visually we mean – will make a world of difference to your morale and self-esteem.

Pluses (and applauses) all around. 

Have you expanded? 

Do you need to keep the ”going’s on” separated?

Congratulations! You have opened up a second branch and are seeing your practice grow, expanding your reach and your customer base. A truly great accomplishment. 

But here’s the thing – sometimes it’s better to let “what happened in Vegas, stay in Vegas”. If you know what we mean. Quite simply (and innocently) we mean that the recorded fees, the disbursements, the client base at one branch should be kept separate from another. Just so that nothing gets confused come audit time. 

Enhanced Branch Checking 

·       There’s now the option of making the branch selection mandatory (if there’s more than one office location) when opening accounts. Keeping everything that occurs in one branch separate from what occurs at another. The same will apply when creating or updating a fee-book.

·       To further enhance separation of accounts, there’s the option to force a matching account with a Fee-book branch when posting a fee.

·       We have also included default branch values when doing payment requisitions, releasing payments and online receipts.

The tweaks listed above, make tracking the progress of each branch straight forward. And so amazingly easy. That’s really the goal here – reconciling what each branch is achieving and giving credit where it’s due. Something that should be available at the click of a button.

So much to be excited about. So many upgrades and enhancements. It kind of makes AJS an obvious choice for your legal tech needs. Right?
